Specifications

  • Wire thread insert for internal thread repair and reinforcement
  • Free running type S: no locking coil
  • Bolt screws in and out with light torque
  • No clamping force on bolt thread flanks
  • Insert length: 1.5 D nominal diameter
  • Installed thread tolerance class: 2B
  • Manufactured to DIN 8140
  • Thread profile to ANSI B 1.1, UN 8 series
  • Restores stripped, worn or oversized tapped holes
  • Retains original bolt size after repair
  • Reinforces threads in aluminium, magnesium alloy, cast iron, plastic
  • Installation requires STI drill and STI tap
  • Fitted with insertion tool or V-COIL insertion head
  • Tang broken off with tang break-off tool after fitting
  • Applications: machine maintenance, engine repair, mould repair
  • Suited to aluminium housings with repeated assembly cycles
