VÖLKEL Machine Tap GREEN RING DIN 376 Form C 39° Spiral Flute HSSE-PM TiN, M12 – M16, 3 sizes. Dimensions per item in the size table.

Specifications

  • Function: machine tap cutting internal metric threads
  • Thread system: ISO metric, coarse pitch
  • Design: reduced shank, smaller than thread core diameter
  • Form C: short chamfer, 2–3 threads lead
  • Cuts threads close to blind hole bottom
  • Spiral flute 39°, evacuates chips backwards out of hole
  • Intended for blind hole threading
  • Substrate: powder metallurgy high speed steel HSSE-PM
  • Fine, uniform grain structure; higher toughness at equal hardness
  • Surface: TiN coating, approx. 2,600 HV
  • Green ring marking for material group identification
  • Suitable for non-alloyed steel up to approx. 1,000 N/mm²
  • Also suited to malleable cast iron and thermoplastics
  • Single-pass threading on drilling, tapping or machining centres
  • Recommended use with tapping chuck featuring axial compensation
  • Cutting fluid required, matched to workpiece material
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical engineering, mould and jig making
  • Suited to small series production
  • Supplied as one piece per item code
