Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal metric threads
  • Standard: DIN 376, reduced shank design
  • Form B: 3.5–5 thread chamfer lead
  • Spiral point geometry pushes chips forward
  • Designed for through holes
  • Thread tolerance class: ISO2 (6H)
  • Substrate: HSSE-PM powder metallurgy high-speed steel
  • Fine, uniform grain structure; higher toughness at equal hardness
  • Coating: TiN, approx. 2,600 HV
  • Green ring marking identifies material group
  • Suitable for non-alloyed steel up to approx. 1,000 N/mm²
  • Also suitable for malleable cast iron and thermoplastics
  • Reduced shank passes fully through the hole
  • Square drive end for positive torque transmission
  • Single-pass threading in one operation
  • For use on drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Compatible with tapping chucks offering axial compensation
  • Requires pre-drilled hole and chamfered hole mouth
  • Cutting oil recommended according to workpiece material
