Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal metric threads
  • Single-pass threading in one operation
  • Form B: spiral point with 3.5–5 thread chamfer lead
  • Chip evacuation forward: suited to through holes
  • Reduced shank diameter, smaller than thread core
  • Allows deep penetration through workpiece holes
  • Operation on drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Requires pre-drilled core hole and chamfered hole mouth
  • Use with cutting oil matched to workpiece material
  • Recommended axial-compensation tapping chuck on non-synchronised machines
  • Thread check with plug gauge after tapping
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical manufacturing, moulds, jigs
  • Suitable for small-batch and single-part machining
