Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal metric threads
  • Standard: DIN 371, reinforced shank design
  • Shank diameter equal to or larger than thread diameter
  • Form C chamfer: 2–3 thread lead
  • Spiral flute, 39° helix angle
  • Chip evacuation backwards, out of the hole
  • Designed for blind holes
  • Thread tolerance class: ISO2 (6H)
  • Cutting material: HSSE high speed steel
  • Green ring marking for material group identification
  • Suitable for non-alloyed steel up to approx. 1000 N/mm²
  • Also suited to malleable cast iron and thermoplastics
  • Threading in a single pass
  • Use on drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Compatible with tapping chucks featuring axial length compensation
  • Requires pre-drilled hole with chamfered entry
  • Cutting oil recommended, matched to workpiece material
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical engineering, jig and mould making
