Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal metric threads
  • Standard: DIN 376, reduced shank
  • Form B: 3.5–5 thread chamfer with spiral point
  • Chip evacuation forward, suited to through holes
  • Thread tolerance class: ISO2 (6H)
  • Cutting material: HSSE high speed steel
  • Surface: TiCN coating, approx. 3,000 HV hardness
  • Higher wear resistance than TiN on abrasive materials
  • BLUE RING marking: tough and alloy steels
  • Workpiece strength up to approx. 1,200 N/mm²
  • Square drive on shank for torque transmission
  • Thread produced in a single pass
  • For drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Reduced shank diameter allows deep hole penetration
  • Suitable for medium and large thread sizes
  • Use with axial compensation tapping chuck when feed unsynchronised
  • Cutting oil matched to workpiece material recommended
  • Pre-drill hole and chamfer hole mouth before tapping
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical engineering, mould and jig making
