VÖLKEL Machine Tap BLUE RING DIN 371 Form C 39° Spiral Flute HSSE TiCN, M3 – M10, 6 sizes. Dimensions per item in the size table.

Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal metric threads
  • Standard: DIN 371, reinforced shank design
  • Shank diameter equal to or larger than thread diameter
  • Form C chamfer: 2–3 thread turns
  • Spiral flute 39°, evacuates chips backwards out of hole
  • Designed for blind holes
  • Thread tolerance class: ISO2 (6H)
  • Blue ring identification for tough and alloy steels
  • Suitable for materials up to approx. 1,200 N/mm²
  • Coating hardness approx. 3,000 HV
  • Square drive end for tap holder clamping
  • Thread produced in a single pass
  • Operation on drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Recommended use with axial-compensation tapping chuck
  • Cutting oil matched to workpiece material required
  • Pilot hole chamfering recommended before tapping
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical manufacturing, mould and jig making
