Specifications

  • Machine tap for internal metric threads
  • Spiral flute, 39° helix angle
  • Flutes evacuate chips backwards out of the hole
  • Form C chamfer: 2–3 thread lead
  • Threads close to the bottom of blind holes
  • Reduced shank, smaller than thread core diameter
  • Blue ring colour code marking
  • Suited to tough steels and alloy steels
  • Workpiece tensile strength up to approx. 1,200 N/mm²
  • Single-pass threading in one operation
  • Use on drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Recommended with axial-compensation tapping chuck
  • Cutting oil required, matched to workpiece material
  • Pre-drill per table, then chamfer hole mouth
  • Check finished thread with plug gauge
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical manufacturing, mould and jig making
  • Supplied as single piece per size
