1. Prepare the hole with a correct core diameter and a clean entry chamfer.
2. Secure the workpiece and align the tool square to the hole axis.
3. Apply suitable cutting lubricant for the material and process.
4. Start the tool with controlled torque until it is guided by the thread form.
5. Advance with steady turns or a guided feed while keeping alignment constant.
6. Withdraw the tool at intervals and clear chips from the flutes.
7. Continue until the required thread depth is reached, then remove the tool fully.
8. Clean the thread and check fit with a matching screw or gauge.
