Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal metric threads
  • Standard: DIN 376
  • Form B: spiral point, 3.5–5 thread chamfer lead
  • Chip evacuation forward, for through holes
  • Thread tolerance class: ISO2 (6H)
  • Colour code: green ring identification
  • Suitable for unalloyed steel up to approx. 1000 N/mm²
  • Also suitable for malleable cast iron and thermoplastics
  • Reduced shank diameter below thread core
  • Deep hole access through reduced shank design
  • Square drive on shank end for positive torque transmission
  • For drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Use with axial compensation tap holder when feed not synchronised
  • Application: maintenance, mechanical engineering, jig and mould making
  • Requires pre-drilled hole per tapping drill chart, chamfered edge
  • Cutting oil recommended, matched to workpiece material
  • Supplied as single piece per size
