Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal threads in one pass
  • Thread system: Vg valve thread, fine pitch
  • Standard: DIN 374, reduced shank design
  • Form C chamfer: 2–3 thread lead
  • Short lead permits threading close to blind hole bottom
  • Suitable for through holes and blind holes
  • Thread tolerance class: medium
  • Cylindrical shank with square drive for tap holders
  • Operation on drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Recommended with axial compensation tapping chuck
  • Pilot hole must match specified tapping drill diameter
  • Cutting oil required, matched to workpiece material
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical engineering, mould and jig making
  • Supplied as single piece per size
