Specifications

  • Machine tap for cutting internal metric threads
  • Standard: DIN 376, Form B
  • Thread tolerance class: ISO2 (6H)
  • Blue ring identification marking
  • Suited to tough steels and alloy steels
  • Workpiece tensile strength up to approx. 1,200 N/mm²
  • Form B: spiral point lead, 3.5–5 thread chamfer
  • Chips ejected forward: designed for through holes
  • Reduced shank, smaller than thread core diameter
  • Square drive on shank end for torque transmission
  • Single-pass threading in one operation
  • Operation: drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Recommended use with axial compensation tapping chuck
  • Chamfer hole mouth and apply cutting oil before tapping
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical engineering, mould and jig making
  • Suitable for small batch production
