Causes of Damaged Spark Plug Threads

Damaged threads are often caused by improper installation or removal, wrong torque, high heat or material fatigue. Aluminum cylinder heads are particularly sensitive. Consequences include misfires, loss of power, or cylinder head damage.

Step-by-Step Instructions
