Specifications

  • Machine tap for internal NPT tapered pipe threads
  • Standard: JIS B-4430
  • Form C: short chamfer, 2–3 thread leads
  • Thread tolerance class: medium
  • Suitable for through holes and blind holes
  • Cuts thread close to blind hole bottom
  • Cylindrical shank with square drive
  • Single-pass threading in one operation
  • Runs on drilling machines, tapping machines, machining centres
  • Use tapping chuck with axial compensation if feed unsynchronised
  • Pre-drill per specified tapping drill diameter, chamfer hole edge
  • Cutting oil recommended to suit workpiece material
  • Applications: maintenance, mechanical manufacturing, mould and jig making
  • Thread checked with plug gauge after tapping
  • Supplied as single piece per size
