You use this threading tool to produce an internal thread in a prepared hole with controlled alignment. Hand tapping is useful for repair work, prototyping, and controlled cutting in short runs.
Use suitable lubrication and keep the cutting edges clear so torque stays stable. M indicates an ISO metric thread, where you match nominal size and pitch to the mating thread. HSS G indicates a ground high speed steel tool, typically used when you need consistent cutting geometry.
Note For consistent results, deburr the entry and keep the cutting area clean during use.
