The VÖLKEL HSS-G round die cuts precise Whitworth external threads (BSW) to BS 84 in size 5/16" x 18 TPI. Designed for general use in free-cutting materials up to 800 N/mm², it is ideal for unalloyed and low-alloy steels.
BSW (British Standard Whitworth) uses a 55° profile with inch sizes and threads per inch (TPI). 5/16" x 18 is 5/16 in outside diameter with 18 TPI.
DIN 223 (DIN EN 22568) defines dimensions and requirements for round dies—for repeatable results and interchangeability.
