Use this tool to create an internal thread for fasteners and fittings in metalworking and maintenance work. A hand tap gives you direct feedback on torque and alignment during the cut.
Use suitable lubrication and keep the cutting edges clear so torque stays stable. BSW indicates a Whitworth form inch thread used on legacy British fasteners and assemblies. Left hand thread means you use the opposite rotation direction compared with standard right hand threads. HSS G indicates a ground high speed steel tool, typically used when you need consistent cutting geometry.
Note For consistent results, deburr the entry and keep the cutting area clean during use.
