1. Prepare the part so the hole is drilled and deburred and the start is chamfered.
2. Clamp the nut or component securely in the fixture so it cannot rotate.

4. Apply cutting fluid to the tool and to the hole entry area before you start.
5. Start the tapping cycle and monitor load for signs of misalignment or chip packing.
6. Stop the cycle and retract the tap according to your machine sequence.
7. Clean the thread and remove chips from the part and the tool.
8. Check thread fit with a matching screw or with your inspection method.
