1. Identify the thread:
   Determine thread size and pitch and select the appropriate HexTap tap or matching round die from the set.
2. Prepare the work area:
   Clean the bore or bolt thoroughly to ensure a straight and clean start.
3. Position the tool:
   Align the tool straight. The pilot tip helps ensure accurate positioning.
4. Cut or rethread:
   Turn evenly using a ratchet, angle driver or open-end wrench and work in a controlled manner.
5. Remove the tool:
   Unscrew the tool completely and clean the thread.
6. Check the result:
   Test the thread with a suitable screw or nut for accuracy and smooth operation.
