1. Prepare: Clean the damaged thread and remove chips, dirt and oil residues.
2. Drill: Select the appropriate STI twist drill version and drill the core hole.
3. Tap: Cut the STI internal thread using the matching STI short machine tap (Form D).
4. Install insert: Select the required insert length (1.0 D / 1.5 D / 2.0 D) and install it with the matching hand inserting tool.
5. Break tang: Remove the tang using the matching tang break tool.
6. Check: Verify the repaired thread with a suitable screw or bolt.
