Precision Thread Plug Gauge Tol. ISO1 (4H) metric STI-Thread - M 24 x 3.0

This thread gauge supports fast, repeatable inspection of an internal thread on the shop floor. You can use it to separate acceptable from non acceptable threads quickly in serial checks.

Use it as a comparative check; if the thread feels abnormal, investigate burrs, plating, or deformation before rejecting parts. M indicates an ISO metric thread, where you match nominal size and pitch to the mating thread.

Step by step

Clean the threaded hole and remove oil, chips, and burrs from the entry.
Visually check the thread for dents, plating build up, or deformation.
Identify the GO and NO GO sides when the gauge has separate ends.
Insert the GO side by hand and turn with light finger force until it seats or stops.
Try the NO GO side by hand and stop as soon as resistance increases.
If the feel is inconsistent, clean again and repeat the check with the same handling.
Record the result and protect the gauge with a light corrosion protection film after use.
