1. Prepare the workpiece by chamfering the end of the bolt or pipe.

5. Turn the die into the material with uniform pressure. After every half turn, briefly turn back to break the chips.
6. Once the thread has reached the desired length, carefully turn the die back off the workpiece.
7. Clean the cut thread and the tool of all chips and residue.
