1. Thoroughly clean the damaged thread of any dirt and chips. A wire brush is well-suited for this.
2. Select the correct wrench for the die nut's hex size (27 x 11 mm).
3. Carefully and straightly place the die nut onto the thread. The chamfering helps you set it correctly.
4. Begin turning the die nut with the wrench counter-clockwise (for left-hand threads). Apply light, even pressure.
5. Use cutting oil to reduce friction and extend the life of the die nut.
6. Continue turning the die nut until you have fully re-cut the thread.
7. Remove the die nut and clean the thread again of chips and residue.
