1. Preparation: Drill out the damaged thread to the STI core diameter, slightly countersink, and clean.
2. Tapping: Cut a new thread with the STI hand tap M48 × 4.0 using cutting oil.

4. Tang removal: Break off the driving tang using the provided tool.
5. Inspection: Check the new thread with a screw or gauge.
