1. Prep: Drill out damaged thread, deburr edges, clean bore.
2. Cut STI thread: Use the STI hand tap M50 × 3.0 with cutting oil.
3. Install insert: Drive the V-COIL insert flush or slightly below the surface using the inserting tool.
4. Remove tang: Break off the driving tang with the proper tool.
5. Verify: Check with a screw/gauge – done.

Does it work in aluminium?
Yes. Stainless inserts provide durable, load-bearing threads in light alloys.

What does 1.5D mean?
Insert length equals 1.5× nominal diameter – here 75 mm thread length.

Do I need a machine?
