1. Preparation: Drill out the damaged thread to the STI core diameter, chamfer slightly and clean the bore.
2. Tapping: Use the STI hand tap M48 × 3.0 with cutting oil to cut the new thread.
3. Inserting: Screw in the V-COIL insert until flush or slightly below the surface.
4. Breaking tang: Remove the driving tang using the supplied insertion tool.
5. Checking: Test with a bolt or thread gauge and clean the finished thread.
