1. Drill the core hole: Use the correct tapping drill size from the UNC table. Ensure sufficient depth for the thread.
2. Deburr the hole: A slight chamfer improves tool alignment and thread start quality.
3. Clamp the tool: Insert the tap securely into a tap wrench.
4. Cut the thread: Apply steady pressure and rotate clockwise with clean alignment.
5. Use cutting oil: Proper lubrication improves cutting quality and tool life.
