1. Confirm the thread system and nominal size in the product title against your drawing and mating part.
2. Prepare the hole with the correct drilling operation and remove burrs from the entry.
3. Select a suitable holder that keeps the tap aligned and provides controlled torque.
4. Apply a cutting fluid appropriate for the workpiece material and the selected tap type.
5. Start tapping with steady alignment and keep the axis straight to avoid flank damage.
6. Advance with controlled feed and clear chips from the flutes as needed without forcing the tool.
7. Stop at the required thread depth and withdraw the tap while maintaining alignment.
8. Clean the thread and verify fit with the mating part or with a suitable gauge.
9. Clean and protect the tool before storage to reduce corrosion and edge damage.
